It’s January 2015: a New Year, New Beginnings, New Happenings. That couldn’t be more true than here at Broad Street Cycles. The first big happening of the year?

Bianchi Joins BSC

BSC is thrilled to officially announce our latest bicycle brand: Bianchi. The oldest bicycle manufacturer in the world, Bianchi have consistently produced exceptional and game-changing bicycles over their 130 year history. Having carried world-renowned racers to victories at the Tour de France, Giro Italia, and Paris Roubaix, Bianchi’s legacy features legendary figures in cycling including Fausto Coppi, Marco Pantani, and recent Tour de France stage winner/cobble-crusher Lars Boom.

Bianchi’s roster of bicycles received critical acclaim in 2014, and — as the sole Bianchi dealer on Vancouver Island — we’re excited and honored to bring you this prestigious and absolutely top-tier line of bicycles in 2015.

Available 2015 Models

Binachi Oltre XR1 and XR2 (Frame Only)

oltrexr2
The Oltre XR2 frame weighs a staggering 895 grams.

“Lightweight, rigid and very, very fast, [the Oltre] is an absolute peach.” — road.cc review

The Oltre is Bianchi’s purebred race bike, and the steed of WorldTour team LottoNL-Jumbo. With a host of aero features including a cut-out fork and an aero-shaped downtube, seatpost, and seat-tube, the Oltre is built for speed, stiffness, and precise handling. Plus, it looks incredible (especially in celeste).

For 2015, we’ll be offering the Oltre XR1 spec’d with 11-speed Shimano Ultegra and Fulcrum 7 wheels. This is an extremely stiff, aero, and lightweight race bike that is the culmination of the relentless innovation of Bianchi’s tech department. Tying the Oltre together is a classic European road racing geometry meant for carving corners and shredding mountain passes.

If the XR1 isn’t enough for you, we’ll also be offering Bianchi’s top-of-the-range Oltre XR2 frame and fork. Featuring a higher grade of carbon, with a revised carbon layup versus the XR1, the XR2 frame weighs a scant 895 grams. Considering that this bike is very much an aero one, that’s alarmingly light.

The Oltre XR1 retails for $4200.

The Oltre XR2 frame, fork, and seat post retails for $5500.

Bianchi Infinito CV

infinito

“An ingenious rough-road performance solution with no vices” — Bikeradar Review

The Infinito CV is Bianchi’s endurance bike, but don’t let that word deter you: this bike is meant to be ridden hard over pretty much anything. With a slightly taller headtube than the Oltre, the Infinito offers a slightly more relaxed fit, yet still retains many of the Oltre’s aero-properties. The revolutionary CV (Countervail) carbon layering technology used on the Infinito dampens road vibration without sacrificing stiffness, offering a ride that’s comfortable yet still ridiculously fast. If you’re planning on crushing everything this season — from crits, to logging roads, to hillclimbs — the Infinito is guaranteed to do it all.

For 2015 we’ll be offering the Infinito CV Ultegra Compact. Predictably enough, the bike features a full 11-speed Ultegra build, with Fulcrum Racing 5 wheels, an FSA carbon stem, and a Fizik Allante Delta saddle. A stellar build.

The Infinito CV Ultegra retails at $5200.

Bianchi Sempre Pro

sempre

“The Sempre Pro is a seriously capable bike for racing or simply riding fast, with much of the performance of the Oltre but with a far more wallet-friendly price tag” — Road.cc Review

The Sempre Pro is Bianchi’s no-nonsense carbon road bike, and has the aesthetics and proven technology of a true classic. While lacking the aero-properties of its bigger Oltre brother, the Sempre is nonetheless a purpose built bike: a tapered headtube, massive BB shell, tapered/slim seat stays, and a stout headtube guarantee a ride that is stiff, fast, responsive, and comfortable.

For 2015, we’ll be carrying the B4p Sempre Pro. Fully spec’d with 11-speed Ultegra and Fulcrum 7 wheels, this bike provides everything needed in a race or all-purpose road bike: light, stiff, and reliable.

The B4P Sempre Pro retails for $3600.

Bianchi Super Pista Frame

superlrg

If Bianchi has heritage, the Super Pista — in particular— has loads of it. Remember the great fixed-gear boom of the lateish 2000s? The Bianchi Pista was huge, enormous — it was the coveted build for running red lights, ripping up (or, preferably, down) San Francisco’s Filbert Street, and for skids skids skids. Of course, the Super Pista is much more than a fixie-kid’s dream: it’s an aero and stiff-as-hell track weapon, and we’re beyond excited to have the Super Pista join our track bike fleet.

The Super Pista retails for $925.
